MANAGEMENT RESTRUCTURING AT ORIENT-EXPRESS HOTELS

17 September 2007

Orient-Express Hotels today announced that it has reorganised its management structure to better serve the needs of the business as it pursues its expansion plans. These appointments follow the appointment of Paul White as President and CEO on 10 August 2007.

Commenting on the restructuring, Paul White said, “Orient-Express Hotels has grown significantly since the IPO in 2000 when the current management structure was put in place.  The Board has given me a mandate to operate and further grow Orient-Express in the years ahead.  To do this successfully, I want to harness the skills and talents of our senior managers.  This structure is the beginning of the process, which will continue to develop over the coming months.”

The executive management team is now as follows:

Paul White President and Chief Executive Officer, formerly Chief Financial Officer
Natale Rusconi Vice President
Nick Varian Chief Development Officer, formerly Vice President Trains and Cruises and Asian Hotels, retaining responsibility for these businesses
Dean Andrews Vice President, Real Estate Development, formerly Vice President, North America
Filip Boyen Vice President, Operations, formerly Vice President, Africa, Latin America and Australasia
Maurizio Saccani Vice President, Italy, formerly Managing Director, Italy, taking on responsibility for Hotel Cipriani in addition to the other Italian properties

Pippa Isbell Vice President, Corporate Communications, formerly Vice President, Public Relations, taking on responsibility for investor relations
David Williams Vice President, Sales and Marketing, taking on responsibility for the co-ordination of revenue management
The company is in the final stages of recruiting a new Chief Financial Officer.

Eight area managing directors will continue to run their existing hotels while taking on specific geographic responsibility.  These executives will report to Filip Boyen.  This extends the structure which has been successfully in place for some time but previously reporting to regional vice presidents.

They are:

Philip Carruthers Brazil, formerly general manager, Copacabana Palace
Federico Echaiz Mexico, formerly general manager, Maroma Resort and Spa
Nick Seewer Africa
Paul Stracey North America, formerly, general manager, Charleston Place Hotel

 Patrick Griffin Australia
Anton Küng Hotel Ritz Madrid, Reid’s Palace, Lapa Palace, Hôtel de la Cité, La Residencia;  formerly general manager, Hotel Ritz Madrid

General managers in these areas will report to the managing directors.  The general managers of the Grand Hotel Europe, Thomas Noll and Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Tom Lewis, will report directly to Filip Boyen.  Charles Coleman, regional director, Asia Hotels, will continue report to Nick Varian.
