Prague

Prague is steeped in history and culture, which - hopefully - the new economic and tourist influx since the Velvet Revolution will continue to safeguard. Whether through its periods of subjugation to larger empires or during its shorter, but inspirational, periods of independence, Prague has always been, quite literally, a Bohemian capital.

More harrowing are the monuments that commemorate less edifying events, such as Terezin (Theresienstadt), one of the Nazi's concentration camps just outside the city. Prague encompasses the whole scope of human experience, whether good or bad.
