ACCOUNTING
Staff Accountant
Successful candidate will possess previous experience in credit management and client billing. Must possess good communication skills in dealing with clients to ensure that invoices are correct and paid within the agreed terms & conditions.
BANQUETS
Banquet Houseperson
Candidate will be responsible for setting and maintaining meeting rooms and service areas. Must have the ability to lift and roll heavy equipment and push/pull a minimum of 20lbs. Must be customer service oriented. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
Banquet Bartender
Successful candidate must have the ability to mix alcoholic beverages in accordance with proper mixology. Previous experience required. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
Banquet Server
Candidate will assist guest in all types of banquet functions. Must have an enthusiastic personality! Must have prior food service experience. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
BELLSTAND
Bellperson
Candidate will ensure that all guests are greeted properly and receive the highest caliber of guest service to ensure their arrival and departure experience is pleasurable and informative. Must be customer service oriented, able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds and be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekend and holidays.
Overnight Bellperson
(11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift) Candidate will ensure that all guests are greeted properly and receive the highest caliber of guest service to ensure their arrival and departure experience is pleasurable and informative. Must be customer service oriented, able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds and be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekend and holidays. $100 sign-on bonus upon hire with an additional $250 bonus after six months of employment with no documentation.
Valet
Responsible for parking and retrieving guest’s vehicles safely and promptly while providing courteous service. Valid SC Driver’s License and minimum 21 years of age required.
CAFETERIA
Cafeteria Attendant
Candidate will be responsible for setting up, serving associates and maintaining the cleanliness of the cafeteria. Must have knife skills for prepping salad bar. Must be able to lift 25lbs or more. Applicant must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
CHARLESTON GRILL
Hostperson
Candidate will be responsible for greeting and seating of guests. Will answer phones to take and confirm reservations. Must be warm, friendly and outgoing. Excellent customer service skills required. Previous fine dining experience a plus.
Cocktail Server
Responsible for taking guest food and beverage order and serving them in a courteous and efficient manner. Up-sell at all times. Maintain station set-up and complete all assigned duties. Previous food and beverage knowledge required.
Server Assistant
Server assistants needed to assist with dining experience. Responsible for providing general bussing and resetting of tables. Assist guests and servers as needed. Previous experience in a fine dining environment a plus! Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Excellent customer services skills necessary.
Line Cook
Candidate must have the ability to prep and execute all kitchen stations. Must follow detailed instructions and efficiently deliver high quality products. Must have 2-3 years fine dining experience.
Server (Part-time)
Responsible for taking guest food and beverage order and serving them in a courteous and efficient manner. Up-sell at all times. Maintain station set-up and complete all assigned duties. Previous food and beverage knowledge required.
CULINARY
Line Cook
Successful candidate must complete daily prep schedule, knowledgeable of station assignments, plate presentations and preparations of all menus. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
ENGINEERING
Duty Engineer
Will respond to and address room calls involving room repair, maintenance, or replacement of all guest room systems. Assist other staff as directed by Engineering Management Team. Responsible for daily activities and utility meter reading. Maintenance experience a plus!
Painter
Candidate will ensure that all painting and related needs of the internal and external customers are met in a manner that meets or exceeds the hotel specifications and standards. Must have a working knowledge of all aspects of painting, wallpaper, drywall repairs, etc. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
PM Technician
Successful candidate must have a working knowledge of all aspects of hotel maintenance and equipment. Must be able to perform basic to intermediate preventative maintenance tasks and repairs. Must be able to prioritize and change tasks on a regular basis. Knowledge of kitchen equipment and HVAC preferred. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
FRONT OFFICE
Front Desk Agent
Responsible for professionally greeting guest in and out of the hotel in an efficient and cordial manner, assist guests as needed and knowledgeably sell hotel, its programs and amenities. Candidate will answer incoming calls, receive and forward faxes; must have excellent telephone etiquette and be able to handle heavy volume calls. Must be able to handle cash efficiently and possess computer skills. Prior front desk experience preferred. Competitive wages and commission.
HOUSEKEEPING
Guest Room Attendant
Candidates must have the ability to clean up to 15 guest rooms per day, meeting inspection criteria of Charleston Place Hotel. Must be comfortable interacting with guests and maintain a clean, neat appearance. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays. Lifting is required.
Team Leader
Candidate will inspect rooms, direct the work of other housekeeping associates and must be comfortable interacting with guests. Must have the ability to clean guest rooms within Charleston Place Hotel standards. Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays.
PM Houseperson
Responsible for maintaining general cleanliness of all public areas and assist with guest requests. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
Turndown Attendant (Part-time)
Must have the ability to clean rooms and provide turndown service according to Charleston Place Hotel standards.
PALMETTO CAFE
Server Assistant
Server assistants needed to assist with dining experience. Responsible for providing general bussing and resetting of tables. Assist guests and servers as needed. Previous experience a plus! Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Excellent customer service skills necessary.
Coffee Attendant (Part-time)
Qualified candidate will be a motivated self starter that enjoys working AM shifts. General hours are 5:30am-1:00pm. Successful candidate must be very personable, enjoy working with the public, love coffee and have money handling experience. Must be flexible to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays.
PASTRY
Pastry Cook
Candidate will assist in producing and plating all baked goods. Previous pastry experience preferred. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays. $100 sign-on bonus upon hire with an additional $250 bonus after six months of employment with no documentation.
Overnight Baker
Overnight shift 11pm-6am. Experienced baker needed to assist with production of all baked goods in the pastry shop. Previous experience preferred. $100 sign-on bonus upon hire with an additional $400 bonus after six months of employment with no documentation.
ROOM SERVICE
Room Service Server
(Full-Time AM and Part-Time Overnight shifts available) Responsible for providing restaurant service to guest rooms in a timely and efficient manner. Must be courteous and customer service oriented. Previous server experience required.
Room Service Refreshment Attendant
11:00am start time. Responsible for refreshing guest room snack baskets as business requires. Must have experience working in a 5-star environment.
STEWARDING
Steward
Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and food required for functions are available at the scheduled time. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays. Heavy lifting is required.
