The treatment will transform the client from head to toe as she is exfoliated, enveloped and massage in a golden hue. The flower used in this treatment is Artemisia Vulgaris (St John’s Crown or Mugwort). It is a root plant that is harvested in France, is highly adaptable, and grows along forestry routes in many parts of the world. Tradition has it that the Greek moon goddess, Dedicate to Artemis, the protector of women, gives her name to this plant. In the Middle ages, Artemisia was warn as a crown on the head and as a garland around the waist to dance in front of St John then thrown into the fire to be immunized against disease for the coming year. Thanks to its flavonoid content, the Artemisia traps free-radicals while it protects the skin against UV rays, pollutions and other external stresses involved in the aging process.
